Anti-War Conference

On March 27 a conference—learn-in sponsored by the May Day Coalition will be held to educate people concerning the war in Indochina and its effects on the United States. The conference will also give people a more complete idea of what the April 30 march on the Chrysler Tank Plant in Warren is all about.

The two purposes of the conference are to bring people from different parts of the city together to meet each other, and to give concrete form to organizing being done around here. Out of it will also come representatives from various organizations that will take part in making decisions in the May Day Coalition both before and after the march on the Warren Tank Plant. The people at the conference will be divided into four caucuses: young people, women, workers, and GIs. The discussions will center on forms for organizing those particular constituencies.

The conference is scheduled to begin in the morning with speakers and educational workshops. During the lunch break, demonstrations in karate and a guerrilla theatre will be held. Following lunch and a film on the League of Revolutionary Black Workers, people will divide into the four caucuses. A cultural benefit will be held that night to cover costs for the conference.
